Center of the Table

Our most popular group dining experience for 7 to 20 guests

Center of the Table is a seasonal, four-course dinner served for sharing in our main dining room. It is the easiest way to enjoy a food-focused group dinner at J.C. Holdway without reserving the entire restaurant.

This experience is ideal for corporate dinners, holiday gatherings, rehearsal dinners, welcome dinners, family celebrations, and special occasions centered around food, wine, and conversation.

For groups of seven or more, Center of the Table is served in place of our à la carte menu. Custom cocktails and wine pairings may also be curated by our bar and sommelier team.

Because this is a shared, fixed-format menu, we are unable to accommodate vegan, dairy-free, or allium-free dietary restrictions or allergies for this experience. Limited vegetarian requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis depending on seasonal menu availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Beverages, tax, and a 20% service charge are additional. There are no separate event minimums or additional event fees. A deposit is required to hold your reservation.

 

Seating is offered during two reservation windows: First Seating, with start times between 5:00 and 5:45 p.m., and Second Seating, beginning at 7:45 p.m. or later.

 

Reservations have a standard duration of 2.5 hours.

 

Parties of up to 14 guests may be seated at one table. For parties of 15 to 20 guests, we use two tables located near one another in the dining room.

For Larger Groups & More Privacy

For groups over 20 guests, or for gatherings that need more privacy, J.C. Holdway offers semi-private dining and full restaurant buyouts. We do not have a separate private dining room; instead, privacy is created through reserving part or all of the restaurant.

SEMI-PRIVATE MAIN DINING ROOM

For groups of up to 50 guests, reserve our main dining room with a privacy divider. This option gives your group a more private setting while still preserving the warmth and energy of J.C. Holdway.

Semi-private events use our Center of the Table menu. Menu pricing applies toward the event minimum.

2.5-Hour Seating
Available at 5:00 - 5:45 p.m. seating only:

  • Tuesday–Thursday: $7,000–$9,000

  • Friday–Saturday: $10,000–$12,000

 

Full Evening

  • Tuesday–Thursday: $10,000–$12,000

  • Friday–Saturday: $15,000–$18,000

FULL RESTAURANT BUYOUT

For groups of up to 70 guests, a full restaurant buyout reserves every table for the evening and includes exclusive use of the restaurant, bar, and covered patio.

This is our most private option and is best suited for larger corporate dinners, holiday parties, rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, and milestone celebrations.

For private dining, we offer either Center of the Table or an individually plated multi-course menu. Menu pricing applies toward the event minimum.

Event Minimums

  • Tuesday–Thursday: $15,000–$18,000

  • Friday–Saturday: $20,000–$24,000

  • Sunday–Monday: $20,000–$24,000

We are not a traditional event venue and do not host wedding ceremonies or vow exchanges.

We are an excellent setting for rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, corporate dinners, and food-focused celebrations.

Please include all dietary restrictions and allergies when submitting your inquiry. Significant dietary restrictions may require menu adjustments or a change to event format.

SEASONAL BOOKING NOTES

Graduation parties are booked beginning in mid-March. Parties for home football game weekends are booked beginning in mid-August. Christmas party bookings begin three months in advance of the requested date.
