Center of the Table Experience

Seasonal, chef-curated courses to pass, taste, and share, created by James Beard Award–winning Chef Joseph Lenn.

OVERVIEW

Center of the Table is our elevated group dining experience for 7 to 24 guests. Guests enjoy a seasonal, four-course dinner served to the center of the table for sharing, with generous courses meant to be passed, tasted, and enjoyed together.

This format is ideal for corporate dinners, milestone celebrations, rehearsal dinners, holiday gatherings, and special-occasion dining centered around food, wine, and conversation.

Center of the Table is seated in our main dining room alongside other reservations. This is not a private dining experience, and there are no separate event minimums or additional event fees.

For groups of seven or more, Center of the Table is served in place of our à la carte menu. Smaller parties may inquire about this experience, subject to availability and the seven-guest minimum table commitment. HOW TO RESERVE

Complete the short inquiry form using the button below. Our events team will follow up to confirm availability, details, and next steps. Phone callbacks are available Tuesday through Saturday between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.

Center of the Table reservations are typically planned in advance. Final menu selections are due in writing no later than 7 days before the reservation.

MENU & FORMAT

This experience features four courses: snack plates, small plates, and larger plates served to the center of the table for sharing, followed by individually plated dessert.

Menus are planned with our team around peak seasonal ingredients and prepared under the direction of James Beard Award–winning Chef Joseph Lenn. Optional upgrades, substitutions, and add-ons may be available and are generally ordered for the entire group unless otherwise confirmed in advance.

Final menu selections, including upgrades, substitutions, add-ons, and dietary requests, are due in writing no later than 7 days before your reservation. Menu items are subject to seasonal availability, and substitutions may be made as needed to maintain the quality and integrity of the menu.

To maintain food quality and timing, service begins at your reserved start time and follows a coordinated pace.

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS

Due to the shared, fixed-format nature of the Center of the Table menu, we are unable to accommodate vegan, dairy-free, seed oil-free, or allium-free dietary restrictions or allergies.

Gluten-free and vegetarian requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis depending on seasonal menu availability and cannot be guaranteed. Approved accommodations are limited to one Chef-selected dietary option per course, served individually in place of shared courses. A $10 per accommodated guest upcharge applies.

All allergies and dietary considerations must be submitted in writing with final menu selections, no later than 7 days before your reservation. Late requests cannot be guaranteed.

BEVERAGES

Our sommelier team can help you plan beverages in advance, including curated bottles from our cellar, wine pairings, signature cocktails, or a per-guest beverage plan. Thoughtful non-alcoholic options are also available. Beverages are charged by the drink or bottle unless a per-guest beverage plan is confirmed in advance. Outside wine is not permitted, and we do not offer corkage under our current policy.

 

AVAILABILITY

Offered Tuesday through Saturday for up to 24 guests. Guests are seated in the main dining room, which remains open to other reservations.

Seating is offered during two reservation windows: First Seating, with start times between 5:00 and 5:45 p.m., and Second Seating, beginning at 7:45 p.m. or later. Reservations include a standard 2.5-hour dining time.

For 10 guests or fewer, seating may be arranged at one table. For 11 to 24 guests, seating is arranged at multiple groups of nearby tables. For parties larger than 24 guests, or for a more private experience, a main dining room reservation or full restaurant buyout is required. Please visit Groups & Parties for details.

 

PRICING

Center of the Table is priced per guest:

  • Tuesday–Thursday: $99 per guest

  • Friday–Saturday: $125 per guest

 

Center of the Table is offered for 7 to 24 guests. The minimum table commitment is based on 7 guests, even if fewer than seven attend:

  • Tuesday–Thursday: $693 before beverages, tax, and service charge

  • Friday–Saturday: $875 before beverages, tax, and service charge

Smaller parties of 4 to 6 guests may inquire, subject to availability. When approved, the 7-guest minimum table commitment still applies.

 

Pricing includes shared snack plates, small plates, larger plates, and individually plated dessert. Optional upgrades, substitutions, and add-ons are available and must be ordered for the entire group.

 

Beverages are charged by the drink or bottle. A 20% service charge and applicable sales tax are added to the final bill.

HEADCOUNT & RECONFIRMATION

A final headcount, including all adults and children, must be submitted in writing by email to hello@jcholdway.com no later than 72 hours before your reservation. This number becomes the billing guarantee. Phone calls are not accepted for final headcount confirmation. If a final headcount is not received by the deadline, the confirmed guest count on file will be used for billing. This deadline is firm. Children are included in the final headcount and are billed at the same per-person rate as adults unless other arrangements are confirmed in advance. Service begins at your reserved start time and follows a coordinated pace to protect the quality of the meal. Late arrivals do not delay service or extend the reservation time. We will follow up 24 hours before your reservation to confirm arrival time and final details.

DEPOSIT & PAYMENT

A $500 deposit and signed agreement are required to secure your Center of the Table reservation. Your reservation is not held until both are received. The deposit is applied to your final bill and is refundable only in accordance with the Cancellation Policy. Final payment is due at the conclusion of your reservation. Up to two forms of payment may be used for the final bill.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to hello@jcholdway.com. Cancellations received at least 72 hours before your reservation are eligible for a full refund of the deposit. After the 72-hour deadline, the reservation is considered confirmed. The deposit becomes non-refundable, and the guaranteed count, or the 7-guest minimum table commitment when applicable, will be billed in full, plus applicable tax and service charge. No-shows are billed in the same manner.

LAST-MINUTE CENTER OF THE TABLE REQUESTS

Requests made less than 7 days in advance may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are accepted only when table availability and kitchen timing allow. Last-minute requests are best suited to a standard Center of the Table menu with limited or no modifications. In rare cases, requests may be considered with very short notice when the menu can follow the restaurant’s standard selections, including Chef-selected dessert, no changes to the large plates, and no significant dietary accommodations. If approved, the signed agreement, deposit, menu selections, final headcount, and all reservation details may be required immediately. Dietary accommodations for last-minute reservations may be limited or unavailable.
